Strange weather we’ve been having …

We’ve been having some really strange weather lately … last week was a good example:  weather warnings, tornado sightings, hail the size of golf balls, rain, rain and more rain, high winds …

I wanted to share a few photos taken on Wednesday of last week from the 36th floor of Bankers Hall.  I was standing outside with some friends, right around 12:30 p.m. when the sky started to turn dark and all of a sudden, the wind started blowing and someone close by mentioned that there was a tornado warning for the City of Calgary.  This is what we saw …

The tornado hit land about 10 kms. from Priddis, Alberta, but there were no serious damage or injuries reported.  We were lucky …

Yesterday the skies turned dark again.  I was working in the yard and had to put everything away and head inside when the winds picked up and the rain came.  Despite the fact that I had to interrupt my work twice more … the work got done!

I hope everyone is enjoying the Summer months and finding some time to be creative.

Thanks for reading.  Keep quilting.

Ana
