Happy New Year to everyone: friends, colleagues, acquaintances, students … to those of you I have forgotten for a while, to those of you I think of from time to time and don’t write to; to those of you I think of all the time; to those of you who are gone but not forgotten; to those of…
Christmas is almost here, and like everyone else, we are getting ready. Last Saturday we had the potluck lunch at the Guild in MIllarville, and our Christmas Gift Exchange. This year we had to make a fabric bag and I had a lot of fun with it. To make it a bit different, I quilted…

I had fun on Saturday, early evening, playing with monoprinting. I set everything up on the kitchen table – there’s a lot of stuff to have around. I had cut some PFD – prepared for dyeing – fabric, and some thin canvas and Gelli Plate in hand, started to play. For the first set of…

A few weeks ago I purchased a new book called “Corvus – A life with birds” by Esther Woolfson. It sounded interesting as it talks about her life with birds after her daughter rescued a fledgeling rook. I don’t know why I like crows and rooks and ravens so much, but I do. I find…
