Hudson River workshop – still time to sign up!!
It’s been awhile! Time flies when you are keeping busy.
Some news from me: I went on an Alaskan Cruise with my daughter Sabrina and had a great time teaching some workshops and visiting the sites. Met wonderful people, made new friends, shared stories, did some shopping and visited new places that spoke to me and make me want to go back for more.
I also took some time off to go on vacation to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Two weeks and approximately 3700 kilometers later, we are back. We had a fantastic trip. Nova Scotia particularly feels like home to me … the ocean, the sights, the artists: potters, painters, wool felters, quilters … art everywhere of every kind imaginable. We had a lot of fun visiting studios, art galleries and craft fairs. Bought my share of stuff to help the economy! :-)
Now I’m back home and getting ready for quite a few workshops. Hudson River Valley Workshop is coming up in a few months, and there are still spots left in the class if you’d like to join me. I guarantee you’ll learn lots while having fun. Some of the topics covered are:
- mark making on fabric and on paper using different tools and techniques
- mind mapping
- color theory and the color wheel: what it is and how to use it. Colour exercises (There is a surprise attached to this one! I know you’ll love it!)
- principles of art and design
- composition
I hope you’ll join me. I’d love to see you.
Thanks for reading. Keep quilting,
Ana
