Woohoo! A brand new class coming up …
I am so so excited! I’ve been playing with this technique for a while and I’m thrilled with the results. Plus … the possibilities are endless! So, if you are tired of creating the same old prints with your gelli plate and want to learn a new technique that will take your printing game to the next level, look no further than this brand new class: “Create Stunning, One-of-a-Kind Prints: Master the Art of Texture with Collagraph Monoprinting.”
Collagraph monoprinting is a versatile and exciting printing technique that allows you to create unique textures and patterns on your prints. Unlike traditional printmaking techniques, collagraphs plates are made from a variety of materials, such as cardboard, fabric, and found objects, to create textured prints with depth and dimension.
In this class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of collagraph monoprinting, including how to design and create your plates, how to use paints and the gelli plate to create stunning prints, and how to experiment with different textures and techniques to create one-of-a-kind prints.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced printmaker, this class is perfect for anyone who wants to explore the world of texture and create prints that are truly unique.
So why wait? Sign up for this brand new class today and start creating stunning, one-of-a-kind prints that will amaze and inspire you! Friday, March 31st at 9:00 a.m. Mountain – 4 hours long. Lots of time to create and explore.
Make your quilts sing with digital imagery: Editing photos in PowerPoint
The next class I’m opening up in March by popular demand is “Make your quilts sing: editing photos in PowerPoint.” If you like to work with images and are interested in taking your work further, this is the class for you as you’ll learn how to use some of the tools available in PowerPoint to edit and enhance photos for use in your artistic projects.
You do not need to have experience with PowerPoint as in this 2-hour demo I will cover the basics, plus more advanced techniques such as background removal, colour adjustment, black and white, addition of text, layering, grouping and so, so much more! And the best part? No supplies needed.
And in case you are wondering, because I get this question a lot, you don’t need to have PowerPoint right now. You can take the workshop and decide whether you’d like to add this program. And yes, the program is available for a Mac. I will provide instruction for both Mac and PC. If you’d like to learn how to edit your images so you can add them to your work, take this class now as I won’t be offering it again until late Fall. The 2-hour demo workshop on PowerPoint will take place on Tuesday, March 14th at 9:00 a.m. Mountain. See you there!
Don’t wait! Sign up for one of these classes today and start creating stunning, one-of-a-kind work that will amaze and inspire you!
