Northwest Territories news/north – Monday, February 9, 2015
Thank you Sydney for sending me a copy of the newspaper. Below is the article that was published on my visit to Fort Smith at the end of January.
The article reads: “An internationally-renowned art quilter recently shared her expertise with a half-dozen Fort Smith Women. Calgary’s Ana Buzzalino instructed a fabric painting and quilting workshop at Aurora College on January 31 and February 1. Participants learned the basics of painting on fabric – techniques such as shading, highlighting and blending and free-motion quilting. The workshop was presented by a community group called High TEA (To Enhance the Arts). It was also supported by the NWT Arts Council, Northwestern Air, and Northrn Life Museum & Cultural Centre”.
Paul Bickford took some very nice photos. Ladies … you look great! Thank you once again for making me feel so welcome.
I expect to see photos of the quilting efforts. Have fun …
