I’m Going Back to Japan – Come With Me
Last year, I spent three wonderful weeks travelling through Japan, and I returned home knowing I wanted to go back. The artistry, attention to detail, rich textile traditions, beautiful landscapes, and deep sense of culture left a lasting impression on me.
That is why I am so excited to invite you to join me and Brandy Maslowski on Exploring Japan Through Textiles & Culture, a 13-day journey through one of the most fascinating and inspiring countries in the world.
Together, we’ll experience hands-on workshops in sashiko, indigo dyeing, roketsu wax resist, washi paper making, and other traditional textile arts. We’ll also visit historic temples, peaceful gardens, mountain villages, renowned museums, and some of Japan’s most exciting textile and craft destinations.

What I loved most about my time in Japan was the opportunity to experience the country through the eyes of its makers and artisans. This tour offers that same opportunity—to learn, create, explore, and immerse ourselves in a culture that values craftsmanship, beauty, and tradition in everyday life.
✨ Reserve your place before July 15, 2026, and save $400 with early bird pricing.
To keep the experience personal and engaging, space is limited, and we expect the tour to fill quickly. Click for the complete itinerary, pricing, and registration details.
I hope to see you there! Thanks for reading. Until I write again, I’m off to dream of Japan,
Ana
P.S. If you’ll be attending Quilt Canada next week, please stop by my classroom and say hello! I’d be happy to answer your questions and share a brochure about the tour.
