Nova Scotia … here we come!
Exciting news! I will be teaching in Nova Scotia once again and I am sooo thrilled. Read all about it here.
It’s all happening this coming June 2-8: I’ll be escorting a tour that will begin in Halifax: a guided tour, free time to shop and walk around this wonderful city that has a lot to offer. Then it’s off to Peggy’s Cove, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg – some of my favourite places to visit. I’m honoured to be able to tour Laurie Swim’s art gallery which is in a new setting in Lunenburg.
The cocoon and classes will take place in Pictou Lodge – an amazing location right on the beach. Wonderful cabins, great food and I know it will be amazing company. I’ve taught in Pictou twice and have dreamt of going back. I can already feel the warm breeze and the sun on my face. Two full days of classes with Gail and I. And you don’t have to choose as you’ll take both classes and work on two different techniques/projects. And the best part? Kits will be provided so you won’t have to worry about packing fabric and tools. Maybe just a pair of scissors … We have some surprises planned but shhhhh … we’ll keep them a secret until then
Won’t you come? It’s all organized by Craftours, a company I am very happy to be involved with. And then, to top it off, you can add the post tour from June 8-11 to attend Quilt Canada in Halifax: tons of quilts to look at and admire, and vendors, vendors and more vendors so you can get your shopping done! If you join now, there’s still time for you to join a lecture, or even take a class with some wonderful teachers.
There’s also more to see in the city: there will be textile exhibits, the waterfront, downtown Halifax where there’s a McDonald’s that serves lobster rolls! That made me laugh the first time I saw it. And yes, there is a lobster dinner included. How much better can it get? So read all about it here and come along! We’ll have a great time!
I am very excited about this opportunity to come back to Nova Scotia and tour around once again. Every time I get off the plane and walk outside, I feel like coming home. There’s something about Nova Scotia … Join the tour and explore this place with me. Spaces are limited.
I am off to dream. Until I write again, keep creating (and think of joining the cocoon),
Ana
