Canadian Rockies Quilt Show

Hello and happy Monday from a very grey and cool day in Calgary. It seems that the weather keeps changing its mind as to whether Summer has arrived or not. But … with all the rain, everything is green.

A wonderful show is coming up: the Canadian Rockies Quilt Show presented by the Mountain Cabin Quilters Guild in Canmore. It will take place on September 24th and 25th at the Canmore Recreation Centre from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with quilts to view, vendors, demos and prizes.

The Post Show workshops will take place on September 26th and 27th, 2022. I will be doing a Trunk Show on Sunday September 25th at 7:30 p.m. I will also be teaching a 2-day design workshop called “Moments” based on the techniques used to create my art piece of the same name. Workshops run both days from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

During the workshop, you will design your own piece using a photo or object as inspiration. The piece will be constructed with curves, but not actually sewing any curves. Each participant works on her own piece to be finished at approximately 17″ x 24″.

The other instructor is Sharon Blackmore. She will be doing a Trunk Show on Monday September 26th and also teaching 3 workshops.
