Free Motion Quilting Challenge
Good morning,
Hope everyone had a great weekend. I taught a Fabric Painting class to a lovely group of ladies on Saturday, and then it was so cold I went home and hibernated for the rest of the evening. I will show you photos next Saturday, when they quilt the piece, so you can see what they produced.
I follow quite a few blogs, and one of my favorites is Susan Brubaker-Knapp’s. You can find her here: http://wwwbluemoonriver.blogspot.com/. Today, she has posted a link to SewCalGal’s very interesting challenge for 2012: A Free-motion Quilting Challenge:
You can go to http://sewcalgal.blogspot.com/p/free-motion-quilt-challenge.html to sign up for it, and see a list of experts who will be sharing their expertise and tips with those who sign up for the challenge. There will be prizes to be won. Go to the blog for more information. It will be updated soon with a schedule. Below is a list of quilters who’ve agreed to help with the challenge:
- Irene Bluhm
- Leah Day
- Diane Gaudynski
- Susan Brubaker Knapp
- Don Linn
- Cindy Needham
- Paula Reid
- Patsy Thompson
- Sarah Vedeler
I am thinking of joining the challenge. Care to do it with me? We can compare how far we’ve come in 12 months. Hope you’ll join me. Drop me a comment and let me know if you are planning on doing it. We could organize a get-together every few months to practice! And we could have our own give-aways!
That’s all for today. I’ll blog more soon.
