Back from Houston
I am just back from Houston. I spent 3 lovely days, very busy, going from MIU to Open Studios, to demos and trying to look at all the vendors and all the quilts. Needless to say, I ran out of time, and memory in my camera. I took everything with me, except the extra memory card! I was so upset with myself.
But … good things happened too. I got to meet lots of new people, bought a couple of things, a few new FQs, but not too many. It is overwhelming, there is so much to look at, that it got to the point where I was picking up fabric, and matching and then I would look at it and put it back down.
The best was looking at all the quilts and talking to some of the artists that made them. What amazing stories they tell, about inspiration, and design, and ideas, and the persistency to finish them!
I brought back lots of photos to show you, but I didn’t have time last night to download them. I will edit them in the next couple of days and this coming weekend and write some posts for you to see some of them.
In the meantime, take a deep invigorating breath of somewhat cooler air, and keep quilting.
Ana
PS: I got home last night just in time for my first time shovelling snow!
