Stitched Botanicals

A 4-hour live online Zoom workshop

Step into a world of soft textures and charm as we explore the possibilities of layering, stitching and embellishing in this relaxed four-hour online workshop.

You’ll begin by layering lace, ribbons, bits of trim, buttons and other small treasures onto a linen base to create a beautifully tactile, collage-like journal page. Once your background is assembled, you’ll add a stitched botanical design—pattern provided—to create a focal point that brings all the layers together.

There is no need to have everything planned before you begin. I’ll guide you through the process, sharing ideas for layering and composition while you work, with time for questions and conversation along the way.

This class is perfect for anyone who loves slow stitching, beautiful fabrics and trims, and creating small, meaningful pieces of textile art.

• 20-page colour booklet with instructions and photographs
• Botanical design and pattern
• Complete supply list

Optional kit

A kit containing many of the materials used in the class is available as an optional purchase for students in Canada and worldwide, with the exception of the United States.

US students will receive the complete supply list and botanical design by email so they can gather their own materials before class.

Optional class recording

A recording of the live workshop is available to registered students for an additional $25. You can add the recording when you register, whether or not you are able to attend the live class. The recording is not available for purchase separately by those who are not registered for the class.
