Online Individual Mentoring Sessions

Description

What makes art so important is its ability to evoke a variety of responses. The majority of an artist’s studio time is spent in contemplative interaction between subject matter and the materials we use.

Every artist needs feedback and critiques to improve. A fresh set of eyes on your work to see areas of improvement. Constructive feedback by an experienced fellow artist will get you to the next level and drive your work forward. Critiques help you grow as an artist and develop your work.

In these sessions, you will have the opportunity to talk through any challenges you are facing and I will provide you with some comments and ideas that will assist you as you move your work forward. The feedback you receive, both positive and negative, plays its part in your creative development.

Sessions are one-hour long and are held over Zoom. Once you contact me to sign up for a session, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to send images of the work you’d like to discuss ahead of time along with any specific issues you would like me to consider during our time together. Some of the issues could be:

• Choosing fabric for your next project
• Modifying a pattern to make it your own
• You are not happy with your current project but are not sure why
• You are stuck in a rut and can’t think of how to move forward
• Staying creative and motivated
