Not one … but two!
The new Quilting Arts Magazine is out and in newsstands, and I’m very happy to say that I have not one, but two articles in this issue no. 85 for February / March 2017.
Here’s the link to the magazine, in case you’d like to purchase one, or look at what else is included in this issue:
On Page 10 you will find my article on “Playing with Metal Leaf on Fabric”. I love the effect of metal leaf (as opposed to metal foil or metal paint) on fabric. Really, really shiny, and it quilts beautifully! The indentations created by the quilting give the piece a beautiful texture.
I hope you give it a try and let me know how it worked. I’ll be making a few more quilts using metal leaf, that’s for sure.
On page 60, you will find the latest installment on the Feather Quilting series: Feather Quilting in Borders. If you’ve been following the series along, how did you do? Have you been practicing? And if so, has it made a difference?
I always enjoy your comments, so I hope to hear from you very soon. In the meantime, keep being creative and practice that free-motion quilting! Remember … a few minutes a day makes a huge difference.
Until next post,
Ana
