New Year … New Workshop!

Correction: Dates have been changed due to a previous engagement.

Good morning,

I’m very excited about a new workshop I’m offering this year.  It is a series called “From Mark Making and Sketch to Stitch”.  Let me tell you a little bit about it:

The biggest challenge for a quilter who wants to break from a traditional design or pieced work and try something different and work on an original design is where to start.  Where to find inspiration?  And once found, how to develop it into a theme that could become a body or work?  Working on a sketchbook with paper and other media, students will develop ideas while exploring principles of composition and design to translate ideas into fabric pieces.  Different techniques will be demonstrated and tried in class.

Classes:  6 sessions – twice a month on Saturdays (see dates below) from 09:00 hrs. to 12:00 hrs.

Dates:

  • February, Saturday 18
  • March, Saturday 18
  • March, Saturday 25
  • April, Saturday 1
  • April, Saturday 22 (moved for Easter Weekend)
  • May, Saturday 13

Cost:  $350.00 – includes most materials

Please note that some individual classes may require a kit fee which will be charged at the time of the class to cover extra materials such as screen printing, transfer artist paper for photo transfer, etc.

Location:  My studio in NW Calgary – I have room for 8 people to work comfortably.

If you’d like to register, send me an email using the contact button on the website and let me know that you’d like to register.  I will send you payment information which will be by e-transfer.  Payment is required in full at the time of registration.  I am unable to offer refunds at this time, unless the class fills and I can fill your spot.  If you can’t attend, you are welcome to send someone on your behalf.

I hope you are as excited about this as I am and hope to see you soon in class.

Have a good weekend.

Ana
