Pictou – Nova Scotia
Apologies if you receive this one twice …
Good morning,
I got back on Sunday from spending a few days in Pictou, Nova Scotia, at the Pictou Lodge invited by the Mayflower Quilters. What glorious days we had. Met lots of ladies I hadn’t seen in a while whom I had met at Quilt Canada in Halifax and last year at Mahone Bay.
The lodge itself is beautiful, the food is delicious … and being fed three times a day is great! No cooking for a while …
The weather cooperated, and was sunny and warm most of the time. We had a bit of rain very early one morning, but by the time we woke up the sky was blue once again. A bit windy and chilly one day … but I am not complaining.
Went for a walk on the beach the first day, feet in the water. I was amazed at how warm the water was.
And here is a photo of a gluten free dessert I got to enjoy. Aren’t those colorful? and they were delicious too!.
I will post photos of the blocks the ladies made during the workshop later on.
In the meantime, hope everyone is enjoying the sunny weather and being creative. Thanks for reading.
